Tokusatsu T’day: Power Rangers in Japan Part 1

With Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers (re)premiering in January on ABC Kids, and new toys having hit the shelves, we figure we’d take you on a tour of the Japanese origins of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.

Season 1 featured footage from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, a Japanese series featuring five ancient warriors reborn into the 20th century to fight the evil witch, Bandora. A far cry from five teenagers with attitude fighting… well… an evil witch.
