Still no release dates about a full season box of the newest Spider-Man series, but on March 17th we will be getting 2 new DVDs. The Spectacular Spider-Man - Volume 2: Rise of the Super Villans! and The Spectacular Spider-Man - Volume 3: The Goblin Strikes! will both be single disc releases that will combine 3 episodes into a movie format like the first DVD that was released in September. No bonus features are planned.

(Holy crap, a Previews Predictions article. Been forever.)
Turns out those rumors that She-Hulk might be cancelled could be right. With She-Hulk #38 (the last released issue) being the last solicited issue, Marvel’s sent out their New Years card (as seen at the right).
The solicit for #38 reads as follows:
SHE-HULK R.I.P.!
She’s been savage. She’s been sensational. She’s been an avenger. She’s been a lawyer. She’s been a bounty-hunter. But there’s one thing She-Hulk has always been, in all of her many series… cancelled. But it hasn’t stopped her yet! In this oversized final issue, Peter David brings his run on the Jade Giantess to a close… but can Jen use her last remaining pages to save her friends from a truly mammoth threat? Catch her now, before someone turns her red!
Seriously? I love Jen Walters She-Hulk. With the Hulk books now consisting of Hulk, Skaar, and Mighty Avengers, I guess they figured they could revamp the last little hang-on. Still, I hope Jen goes somewhere.
But Thundra’s daughter? I guess I’ll have to pick up those specials with her to judge.

I started to get into comics when I was in High School. If I wrote how I got into comics, then this review would be forever long about me. I will say that while my brother would read X-Men (because that was the new cartoon at the time), I read three comics about a solo heroes: Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Iron Man. Now out of the three, Iron Man was my favorite and I started to read Force Works and War Machine dropping Wolverine (during the Age of Apocalypse saga) and Spider-Man (during the Clone Saga) due to lost of interest. Now that with a very successful movie, the country has a big love of Iron Man, so it’s natural that a new cartoon is on the works.

Well, sorta. I’m going to keep this quick and short. The New XBox Experience should be up for you, and with that, you can activate Netflix streaming. While looking through what I could add to my queue (watching Cashback right now, and added Heroes Season 3 for future reference), I found an epic classic:
Nick Fury: Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Yes. The character immortalized by Samuel L. Jackson in the new Marvel movie universe, was first played by another legend. David Hasslehoff.
Add it it your queue, watch it when you’re as ticked at Marvel as Hiro Nakamura is, and love the Hoff.
Additionally, David Hasslehoff is new playable character in Pain. I might have to get that.

Marvel has released this image, with no other text. I’ll add in my two cents that it looks there could be a dark rain in the background.
If you look at the slate of Marvel books potentially related to this concept, you have a few things in play:
- The Invincible Iron Man, classified until Secret Invasion #8.
- Secret Invasion, which had Tony flying off in his shattered and tattered Iron Man armor in an effort to fix it. Iron Man was not around for the final page damage.
- Iron Man: Director Of S.H.I.E.L.D./War Machine: Weapon Of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Canceled at the end of this arc.
- War Machine starts with a new #1.
- Mighty Avengers, which cover leaks show an individual in Iron armor.
- Young Avengers with both it’s Patriot and former Iron Lad members.
- Avengers: The Initiative, which had War Machine as a main member.
- Captain America, which is currently Bucky in his own series.
- What If? Fallen Son: If Tony died instead of Steve during the fallout from Civil War.
Of course, this could be Marvel being misleading as always, and somehow be part of Ultimatum or something.

Ah, the secret origins of a classic Super Sentai. Himitsu Sentai GoRanger started what would become Super Sentai in the 70s, but it officially got that title with Battle Fever J. Toei had already worked with Marvel to produce the live-action Spider-Man series that introduced the concept of fighting a monster both on the ground and then in a giant robot.
Yes, Spider-Man is the reason we have Megazords.
Battle Fever J, the second time Toei had worked with Marvel, features Battle Japan, Battle France, Battle Cossack, Battle Kenya, and Miss America (not the actual Miss America, but a heroine named Miss America) working together to fight the traditional forces of evil.
If things had progressed as planned, it would have been Captain Japan, a Marvel-sanctioned spinoff/remake.
Marvel never really mentions the fact that they had a hand in creating Power Rangers.

From 1up.com, it looks like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 has been rated by the ESRB for both the Playstation 3 and XBox 360. This likely means an upcoming downloadable version of the game, which is currently an extremely difficult find. There is even hints at possible online play being added to the game.
The rating from the ESRB seems to say that this is definitely true and just a matter of time, but the real question is, why wasn’t this announced at last week’s Tokyo Game Show?

Destructoid has an update on the upcoming game, Spider-Man Web of Shadows, but its not the version we’ve been shown previously. This time, its the DS version. Along with some nice details on some extra playable characters in the DS version of the game, they have a gameplay video that shows off some truly beautiful side-scrolling, beat-em-up style gameplay. The animations are looking smooth, the combat fast and very old-school, and the webslinging wonderful.
So far, Web of Shadows is looking like it should be a great game and a great Spider-Man story to go along with it. Whether this keeps or not is something to save judgement on until its release on October 12th. But so far, it looks like the DS version is worth keeping an eye on just as much as the other console versions. Make sure to check out the video over at Destructoid for an encouraging look at the game.

Traditionally, Iron Man has been one of those second tier superheroes. He’s not Captain America, he’s not Batman (although he can be a startling parallel); nor is he a mutant or alien who gets his powers from some outside source. He’s Tony Stark, a womanizing, borderline alcoholic … genius. Same with the casting of Robert Downey Jr. … genius.

Marvel has sent out this image, with the tag “Who Do You Trust”.
Wolverine is currently featured in Wolverine, Wolverine Origins, New Avengers, Astonishing X-Men, X-Factor, and Uncanny X-Men. Given the brown in the costume, it seems to imply that at least the Wolverine featured in Origins is a Skrull.
I’m calling it. The current Wolverine Origins title, written and drawn by the people who are starting a new Deadpool book in summer, and currently features Deadpool trying to kill Wolverine due to an unknown benefactor, will end with Deadpool killing Wolverine.
… and Wolverine Skrull-ing out.
To sum up, my theory is Wolverine Origins becomes, or is at least replaced by, this summer.
