Script writer tapped for “Ghost In The Shell” adaptation

Variety reports that Laeta Kalogridis, scriptwriter of Alexander and the upcoming Shutter Island, will pen the script for the upcoming live-action, 3D Ghost In The Shell, adapted from the comic book and animation by Dreamworks.
Ghost In The Shell was one of the influences of The Matrix trilogy, which starred Keanu Reeves, who will be going on to star in another adaptation of a Japanese cartoon: Cowboy Bebop.
