Saban being sued by his former tax attorney

Haim SabanHaim Saban, the man, not Saban, the company that he created, is being sued by his former tax attorney to prevent him from seizing $36 million in fees that Saban paid for tax shelters, resulting from his sale of Fox Family to Disney, Reuters reports.

Saban is best known to readers as the man who created Saban Entertainment in the late ’80s, and brought such shows as Samurai Pizza Cats, Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, and Dragonball Z (known as Kyatto Ninden Teyande, Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, and… Dragonball Z) to America, adapting them for children’s television. In the early 90s, Saban helped create Fox Kids, which, alongside Fox Family, was sold to Disney in 2001. Basically, the Power Rangers fans can basically delineate the time that Saban owned Power Rangers from the original series to Power Rangers Wild Force, effectively ending his tenure with the last series filmed in California. Since then, under Disney’s ownership, the show was shipped to New Zealand.
