Shout! might be releasing lost “Transformers” after all

We initially skirted this rumor, as it didn’t make sense. Shout! Factory doesn’t traditionally release subs, despite having released dozens other of Transformers discs.

Still, Brian Ward of Shout! Factory tweeted that he was working on both the previously-announced Beast Wars and a “Takara Collection”. Notably, after announcing Beast Wars, Ward asked if anyone spoke Japanese. Still, he seemed unknowing of the Japanese Beast Wars series, which you’d think you’d hear about if you were working on Japanese Transformers releases.

Takara produced four series in Japan, Headmasters, Super-God Masterforce, Victory, and Zone that never received a US release.

Obviously, no confirmation yet, but it does actually change the field a little bit.
