Microsoft’s Digital Downloads: Summer of Arcade So Far

Sorry for not posting these. But, it is the Summer of Arcade, the biggest promotion for Xbox Live Arcade. Sure, Ms. ‘Splosion Man and Guardian Heroes didn’t make the cut, but it is a fair trade that we have three original and creative titles being released so far. Bastion might be another action-RPG, but it comes with a reactive narrator who follows your every move. From Dust might be another god game, but it comes from Another World creator Eric Chahi and pushes nature as a danger to the tribe you are protecting. And then there’s this week’s Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, a gorgeous 2D action-adventure game from artist Michel Gagné and game vet Joe Olson.

If words fail, the launch trailers are below. And below that, three weeks’ worth of XBLA add-ons and Games on Demand titles. The Xbox Live Indie Games list returns next week.
