gaijINdebt: “The Witcher” is five bucks on gog.com
If you’ve never been to GOG.com, then you’ve never experienced the joy of buying old PC games that also happen to be DRM-free. Heck, they also have a legit copy of Guilty Gear X2 #Reload on there for about the price of a PSone game on PSN more than half off you would get for the Xbox version on the Xbox Live Marketplace. But, I’m not here to talk about that. I’m here to talk about The Witcher being on there. While it came out in 2007, The Witcher has gone on to be a favorite RPG game for many. The Enhanced Edition released the following year tightened everything up with new and re-done dialogue, improved graphic animations, and enhanced inventory among other things. And it is that version that is currently up on GOG.com, the sister company of Witcher developer CD Projekt RED, for about five bucks for two weeks before being sold at its normal $9.99 price point there. Either way, you’re still saving money from its current $19.99 MSRP sold at locations like Steam and getting it without DRM.
