J.J. Abrams, Fred Seibert to produce “Samurai Jack”

J.J. Abrams (of recent Star Trek fame) and Fred Seibert (of Frederator Studios) have been announced as producers on an upcoming Samurai Jack film, with Genndy Tartakovsky heavily involved, the Frederator Studios blog announced. Notably, this is the first time Cartoon Network has allowed an outside studio to make a film covering one of their properties. Frederator Films and Bad Robot Productions will produce the animated film.
