Japan Time 11/30/7: Returning Stages..A must!

November 30th, 2007 by Scott Laney

Huzzah!  According to the Dojo, along with the addition of new stages, obviously, there will be a return of stages from Melee, and maybe from the original Smash?  Who really knows?  One of the major stages that they are showing off is the return of a crowd favorite, Hyrule Temple from Melee.  It looks completely awesome, but it is said that there are some changes to it.  It didn’t look any different to me, but I guess we’ll find out when the time comes.  I would add some pictures in here, but I’m in a rather bad position to do so.  Maybe I’ll edit them in later if I’m not beaten to it.

Tokusatsu T’day: Daihenshin Sentai Poweranger?

November 29th, 2007 by Chad Bonin

We all know the schedule. Toei makes a Super Sentai. The following year, Disney (or back in the day, Saban) adapts it into a Power Rangers. After that?

Once in a while, Toei dubs Power Rangers into Japanese.

Tokusatsu T’day: Kamen Rider, Kamen Rider… Rider HG!

November 27th, 2007 by Chad Bonin

Shotaro Ishinomori is rolling in his grave… and, no, it’s not “Kamen Rider Mercury”.

Warning: Clip has extra levels of “Hard” and “Gay”.

Need to stock up on DVDs? ADV’s got another sale going…

November 27th, 2007 by Chad Bonin

I seriously used to spend way too much money when they have these sales… ADV Films has knocked down a bunch of their DVDs.

There’s some decent things for cheap, such as Azumanga Daioh and Cromartie High, but I keep running into this one deal…

If you don’t buy Dai-Gaurd for $10, I’ll be sad. It even had two or three days of Toonami awesome that got me hooked.

ADV Films Digitally Distributes, iTunes Goes “Meh”

November 27th, 2007 by Chad Bonin

ADV Films has announced that they have now over 500 episodes of shows to watch, for $1.99 a standard episode, or $3.99 for premium (different encoding sizes, apparently). If you need the episodes now and want the DVD when it comes out, you can get a bundle.

So, it’s effectively what FUNimation is doing on iTunes, just with higher quality and cost episodes, and not immediately transferrable to the most prolific portable video players out there.

Yet, I have to commend them. This continues the fight against “fans” who refuse to buy DVDs because they don’t want to spend $15+ if they don’t know if they like it or not. Buy an episode an see. Hell, if you’re all for digital distribution, buy a whole series for less than two DVDs.

Toys R Us can bend time and space?

November 26th, 2007 by Chad Bonin

I’m bored. I don’t have class until 5PM. ABC Family lets me revel in my childhood, and I’m watching Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Out of nowhere, Kumar was on an episode.

Anyway, a Toys R Us ad plays, showing off what they have for Christmas. With the Wii, they show Guitar Hero III… right next to Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

… Toys R Us would instantly sell millions if they had that for Christmas.

More proof for extra Jungle Fury Rangers?

November 25th, 2007 by Chad Bonin

So, Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger has five Rangers: Red, Yellow, Blue, Violet, and Chopper (White/Orange). The action figures for Power Rangers Jungle Fury add a Green Elephant, Black Bat, and Blue Shark Ranger. Well, they were just one shot figures, right?Green Elephant Bike

Hmm. Could Disney be going all out for the potentially last live-action Power Rangers series?
